I can feel this river flowing,
Regretful, mistaken, all-consuming,
Feel it pressing our lips togther,
Feel it holding our sins forever.
Stoplights pulse with blood in vein,
Traffic flooding in falling rain.
But dance with me and maybe,
Believe in the night,
Rein it all in and maybe,
Hold back the light.
Stoplights throb past silver and white,
Traffic falling in flooded night.
I can feel this river surging,
Regretful mistaken, all consuming.
Feel it bringing ourselves together.
Feel it holding our sins forever.
But dance with me,
And maybe,
Believe in this night,
Rein it all in,
And maybe,
Hold back the light.
