"A Lesson in Vanity"

From my years of study,
I know I'm not a patient man,
Nor a complicated soul,
Given somehting in need,
Right now is never too soon,
Couldn't be too soon.

Damn you, ring,
And fill this silence,
It is waiting for you,
And all your trials.

Expected it all,
Asked for too much,
And so I receive,
A lesson in presumption,
A lesson in vanity.
