"Adrift"

Four lives collide on the ocean surface,
As unsuspecting waves, they strike the shore,
And they are cast back to the sea,
To tumble over in its tides again.

Times will crest and fall,
We are dragged within the tides,
Thrown together,
Torn apart.

But our seas are not cold,
As harsh as they may seem,
They are creatures of warmth,
That churn toward the shore,
To tumble about in our tides once again.

Lives will fill and empty,
Like the shallow pools from tides,
Torn apart,
Thrown together,
Tumbling over and again endlessly.
